More and more news surrounding NBA 2K18 is flooding the industry. Everyday there is something new to hear, be it about special collections or the different in-game factors. However, the one thing that is currently on everyone’s minds is the continuous inflow of the NBA 2K18 player ratings. We had predicted the possible ratings for the most popular players before, but 2K has already begun making things official.
NBA 2K18 Player Ratings: The Rookies
NBA 2K18 has recently revealed the ratings of Philadelphia 76ers point guard Markelle Fultz and Los Angeles Lakers’ Lonzo Ball who plays the same position. Interestingly, the two rookies are also tied at the same spot at a solid 80. This is remarkable, as both players are new to professional basketball and have been top picks. As of now, we are in the know about a total of 15 player ratings, and we will undoubtedly receive more news about them later.
Golden State Warriors Shine Bright
Just a couple of days back, publishers 2K revealed the ratings of three Golden State Warriors stars, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Nick Young. For now, it appears that the first two are the highest rated players in the game at the moment with ratings of 96 and 94, respectively in that order. Durant has risen from his 95 last year, while Curry is a point behind his rating in NBA 2K17. Young, on the other hand, has received a 74, and happens to be the lowest rated player right now.
The first draft of the ratings that came out about a week ago had left everybody talking. The draft, that had revealed the ratings of cover star Kyrie Irving alongside Paul George, Joel Embiid, and Karl-Anthony Towns, had surprised everyone including the players themselves. Surprisingly, Irving himself had scored 90, considered a measly number for his prestigious status this year.
The players’ reactions to their own ratings were rather interesting to watch. While Irving was undeniably dejected at his numbers, he took it in his stride. Watching Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, however, had to be the most remarkable. The player, who has been rated an 86, had expected at least a 95. But it looks like 2K is not being very generous with the ratings this year.
There is much more to look forward to before the NBA 2K18 release date. Meanwhile, any fan of the game knows how important the soundtrack is, and the good news is that the publishers have already confirmed the list of songs that will be featured. Don’t forget to check back for more updates.
