As more and more speculations are floating online about iPhone 8, the latest rumors to add to that list is that American multinational technology company Apple might add new peripherals for iPhone 8, which would be possibly get a release in 2017. Moreover, as per latest reports, AirPlay and new Apple TV hardware will play a pivotal role in Apple’s AR/VR vision.
The new component of wireless charging is supposed to be a move by Apple to celebrate the 10th anniversary of iPhone. Yes, it’s been 10 years since the first iPhone launch! Believe it!
According to Brian White, an Apple analyst, even if Apple shows the phone in fall, say around September, shipping might be postponed by a couple of weeks, which is a terrible news for people who have been eagerly waiting to get their iPhone 8 for a couple of months now.
The fingerprint scanner might get placed at the back of the phone. This would make it similar to other high-end Android phones like Google Pixel. A leaked picture by Melbourne based Apple technician Sonny Dickson refers that Apple is exploring ideas to put the fingerprint scanner underneath the Apple logo at the back. The leak has not yet been confirmed, but Dickson has published Apple product information before their launch in the past.
Even though the release of iPhone 8 is not happening not before September 2017, speculations regarding its features are at its peak among gadget enthusiasts and going by the latest reports; the said smartphone might feature Apple’s Smart Connector for wireless charging and other accessories. If this is true, this would just be a cherry on the top of the already waited smartphone.
The Smart Connector which was first lauched in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro provides both data and power for external accessories and also connects to them through magnets.
Among the many details that have been obtained from the leaked picture is the release of a model that will have a screen which will cover the entire front portion of the device. The screen will use OLED technology for the first time and it will be as large as the screen on the iPhone 7 Plus. The company also plans to use faster chips using a “10-nanometer process” which would improve the efficiency of the “16-nanometer process” it is using. iPhone 8 will come with ios 13 OS.
Coming to the camera specifications, the double-lens camera will be oriented vertically, instead of horizontally that we see in iPhone. The secondary camera is also speculated to gain a second lens. Since the anticipation of iPhone 8 is at rocket high, hence even minor changes to the fingerprint scanner are going to play a huge role in the overall reception of the device. The negative flak which might arise among fans is the fact that there might not be a headphone jack present in the iPhone as there are no signs of a headphone jack in the blueprint.
Moreover, as per to Chinese-language Economic Daily News, iPhone 8 might get released in the fall, that is, during October or November 2017 due to ‘technical issues’ faced by suppliers related to the display lamination process and problems in incorporating the 3D sensing front camera system.
